Fr. Dr. Vincent Chinnadurai

Rev. Fr. Dr. Vincent Chinnadurai is a Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Madras – Mylapore. He is a multifaceted personality serving the humanity at various levels. He did his Masters in Journalism and Communication at Marquette University, Milwaukee, USA. He holds 4 other Masters degrees. He has a Ph.D in Public Affairs and Public Administration from the University of Madras.

He was very closely associated with St. Mother Teresa and organized her visits to Chennai. He had the opportunity of serving Pope John Paul II at the Altar in the Holy Mass conducted at the Marina Beach during Pope John Paul II visit to Chennai in 1986.

He was the Chairman of the State Minorities Commission of Tamil Nadu Government. He has done yeoman service for the cause of minorities in safeguarding their rights and developed welfare schemes for the minorities. Currently, he is the Secretary for Laity to the Catholic Bishops’ Council of India (CBCI), Vicar Forane, PRO and Episcopal Vicar of the Archdiocese of Madras – Mylapore.

He participates and presents papers in various National and International Seminars, both in the religious and secular field. He collaborates with the dignitaries in the religious, social, political and cultural field, in India and abroad. He has also established several Educational Institutions in North Chennai to serve the down trodden people.
