Rosemary J. Link gained her undergraduate honors degree in Modern History and Politics with Sociology from the University of Southampton and her postgraduate Diploma in Applied Social Studies from the University of London. Dr Link pursued her PhD in social work at the University of Minnesota. She served as Dean of Graduate Studies at Augsburg College (now university). Rosemary was the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Simpson College, Iowa and was Visiting Professor at the University of Ljubljana. Dr Link is now a Community Faculty member at the University of Minnesota.
Rosemary Link has chaired the Board of Southside Family Nurturing Center (www.ssfnc.org) and has recently served on the Rotary Foundation. Her ongoing research interest is in children’s wellbeing and human rights. Dr Link has served as external examiner to the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica. Dr Link has published articles relating to child poverty, human rights and social development plus seven distinguished books.
In 2005-06, Dr Link received a State Department grant to serve as an Educational Ambassador in Slovenia, India and Singapore. Dr Link describes herself as a social work educator-practitioner, writer, and human rights advocate.
